Royal Gourock Yacht Club - New Year Day Swim 2010

A total of 28 people of all ages took part in the 2010 New Year Day Swim at Royal Gourock Club. This RGYC tradition was started in the late 60s/early70s by Dougie Bryce but died away until it was resurrected in the early 90s by Dougie´s daughter Jennie Ferdinand and Hilary Mackenzie. The following year Jennie was joined by Ray Timms and Alan Moffat, since then it has just expanded. A bucket collection raised £325 for the RNLI and several people had personal sponsorship of three figure sums.
