Cruising Section

RGYC Cruising Group – 2021 Musters and Activity.

Once overnight excursions can take place again, every effort will be made to get club members together responsibly over the season for at least one or two cruising musters.  That said, we are not expecting to be able to stay onboard overnight until at least the end of June 2021, and there may still be limits to who can stay onboard from separate households.

Cruising musters usually take the form of sailing to a destination followed by socialising together and eating out. The number of people who can sit together indoors may still be restricted.  Options for al fresco dining will be considered if the numbers warrant it, and are always dependent on our lovely Scottish summer weather. The customary pre and post prandial drinks onboard a host yacht may also have to be limited.  If the weather is favourable, get togethers can easily take place with crews sitting in their respective dinghies.

Previous successful musters have been held at Portavadie, Lochgoilhead, Port Bannatyne and Holy Loch and we hope to see you and them again soon.

Final arrangements and confirmation of details for each muster is done by email and also on the RGYC Facebook page.  Dates and details are also forwarded to the RGYC Office to be broadcast to all members via the RGYC newsletter.

So come along and try cruising and enjoy the good company in what is a friendly, relaxed and sociable gathering, you will be made very welcome.
