The Committee are happy to announce that the outside area of the Clubhouse will be re-opening to Members from 6pm on Friday (10/07/20). This area of the Club will be open for drinks between 6pm and 1am on both Friday and Saturday night. Food will be available between 6pm and 9pm both nights. We will be running the current menu  until we get back onto an even keel, at which point we hope to implement some of the changes suggested by Members in the recent survey.

If you do intend eating on the balcony it would be helpful if you could pre-book your food by contacting the Club on 01475 637192 prior to attending. Similarly, if you intend simply attending for a drink it would be helpful if you could contact the Club to get an update on how busy/quiet we are in order that you can make an informed choice about attending. Signage will be in place advising how to place your orders. Ideally, payments should be made using contactless card payments, however, cash will still be accepted.

Social distancing measures, in line with the latest government guidelines, have been put in place with the appropriate signage. Hand sanitisers have been installed at several points around the building. Toilets will be available in the outside changing rooms. The disabled toilet within the building will be available for the use of disabled Members or guests only.  Staff have been provided with PPE and during the current situation they will be required to carry out a number of additional duties. As a result of these additional duties service may be slower than normal.

In line with the current ‘track and trace’ scheme implemented by the government, Members and guests will be required to provide contact details to staff. This information will be held by the Club, only for the required time specified in the scheme and will be destroyed after that time. The information supplied will be held securely and will not be used for any other purpose.

A further update will be provided when the current restrictions on using the inside of the Clubhouse are lifte

As you will see from the above announcement, the Club will be open for business on Friday and Saturday, and the Chef will provide a limited menu from 06:00pm until 09:00pm on both evenings (see menu attached).  Our menu will be limited for the next week or two until life at the Club returns to some semblance of normality.

Thanks to everyone who completed our questionnaire on catering at the Club prior to the lockdown.  We have taken everyone’s input on board and hope to include some imaginative changes sooner rather than later.  In the meantime, your continued support of the Club is much appreciated.

This year’s Social Programme has been seriously curtailed due to the Coronavirus epidemic and many of our most popular events have had to be cancelled,  postponed or reorganised to avoid the risk of cross infection.

With the balcony opening for business on Friday July 10th and the Clubhouse in due course, we are slowly pulling together events for the coming months, ever mindful of current regulations on social distancing and avoiding cross infection.

Listed below are some events which are already in the pipeline. Some of them may have to be cancelled but several, hopefully, could be added as restrictions relax.  I hope you will bear with us during these difficult days, I know everyone will do their best to support the Club in the months ahead.
