We have many cruising yachts at the Club setting forth around the Clyde and beyond and often they are sailed in company. These musters took place regularly before the Covid lockdowns and we are working on getting them going again. Skippers are sometimes looking for crew and cruising is a great way to combine sailing and socialising.

Cruising musters usually take the form of sailing to a destination followed by socialising together and eating out.  The customary pre- and post-prandial drinks onboard a host yacht help everyone get to know each other. An overnight stay onboard is followed by a leisurely sail back the following day.

Previous successful musters have been held at Portavadie, Lochgoilhead, Rothesay, Port Bannatyne and Holy Loch.

Arrangements and confirmation of details for each muster is done by email and also on the RGYC Facebook page.  Dates and details are also shared with Members via the RGYC newsletter.

So come along and try cruising and enjoy the good company in what is a friendly, relaxed and sociable gathering, you will be made very welcome.
